You did the magic
In the movie “Finding Forrester”, the legendary ladies’ man Sean Connery gave a young gentleman some friendly advice on how to court a woman. He said ‘’the key to a woman’s heart is an unexpected gift at an unexpected time’’.
In February, the month of love, Diamond Woman gave all the single male staff of Diamond the opportunity to surprise their sweethearts with a romantic proposal on the Diamond Woman website. Olayiwola Olatunde emerged as the lucky winner of the campaign in a lucky dip.
Olayiwola proposed to Ubongabasi on February 14 with these original and heartfelt words
He Said: ‘’ Ubongabasi, I met you in a period of my life when I just needed a miracle to be strong. You did that magic and my life has changed positively ever since.
Today, we could have been voting, alas we had the upper hand and I’m on bended knees asking you; ‘Koko, Please Marry Me‘
There’s no better place to meet your wife than in a classroom, trust me. I met Ubongabasi Effiong during service year in 2012. This was precisely in ICAN class. Little wonder why we both ‘passed the exams in flying colours’. We kicked off just as friends initially but never realised when we grew intimate and profoundly in love. I have never for a second regretted meeting you dear. Love you scatter!!!’’
Ubongabasi’s picture and Olayiwola’s proposal words were hosted on the homepage of the website.
The Diamond Woman team contacted Ubongabasi bright and early on Valentine’s day and asked her to log on to the site for a special surprise from her heartthrob Olayiwola. Want to know her response to Olayiwola’s romantic proposal?
And she said…. (Insert drum roll) “ Yessssssssssssssssss. I love you too ade ori mi. *Tears*”
The couple were also treated to a romantic dinner for two courtesy Diamond Woman.
We will keep the Diamond Woman community updated on the aso-ebi details.
Please join us as we wish Olayiwola and Ubongabasi all the joy the gift of love has to offer.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
